Bathroom Bliss

I'm looking for bathroom inspiration as I'm about to renovate my ensuite.  These pictures were 2 of my favourites.

My latest discovery

An old school house magically transformed into a beautiful home called 'Monkey Cottage'. I really liked the floral wallpaper and the green colour scheme.  And the very pretty sconces.

Continuing on the floral theme here is a gorgeous floral wreath courtesy of the Country Living website.  What's not to love.  Looks so summery and fresh and I particularly love the striped ribbon that it's hung with.

Beautiful dresses from Roberto Cavalli's summer collection.  Absolutely stunning.  The colours in the top one are my favrourite.  Just need an occasion to wear one....

Tea Party

These two images are from Nina Campbell's collection of fabrics and wallpapers.  Love the colours.... the fishes.... the stripes....  the flowers.... Looks so fresh and lovely. 

The magic of Fairy Lights

I was attracted to this picture purely based on the fairy lights.  Doesn't it make this walkway feel enchanted.  Like the entrance to the secret garden.....

Chloe's apartment

It seems that Chloe Sevigny's apartment has been featured in many blogs but I just couldn't resist adding a couple of pictures to mine because I LOVE IT!!.  My favourite part is the fabric covered couches.  I currently have beautiful big white couches but if I was ever to have them re-covered I would definately be taking some inspiration from Chloe.

Friday Florals

These beautiful florals are featured in the Spring/Summer issue of US Vogue Living.  Florals are such an inspiration to me.  They make me happy.  I love the explosion of "floralness" in these pictures.  Totally over-the-top and perfect.

Dorothy Draper

I recently discovered Dorothy Draper.... what a decorating legend!!  I love how she mixes and matches different fabrics and how she pares florals and stripes so fabulously.  What I would give to be able to step back in time and visit one of her masterpieces.  Long Live DD!

Holidays in The Hamptons

I have a slight obsession with The Hamptons.  I  have watched the movie 'Somethings Gotta Give' about a thousand times because I love Diane Keaton's house so much.  It is without doubt one of my all time favourite houses.

I went to The Hamptons during a trip to New York last year. It was totally fabulous - everything I had dreamed it would be.  I just would have liked more time for shopping.  A lot more time.

Who is Dolly Dingle??

Dolly Dingle is my grandmother.  She was the greatest person you could ever wish to meet and is a constant inspiration in my quest to live a creative life.  She was the most magical and creative person I have ever known.  She could make something out of nothing and she did so with a smile.  Dolly Dingle was her nickname... why I'm not sure but it seems to me that it fits her perfectly.

Dolly Dingle is the brand name I use for all the creative things that I have produced (namely handbags and singlets to date).  I hope by calling myself Dolly Dingle I can channel some of my Nan's amazing creativity and zest.

It's coming up to the 1st anniversary since my Nan passed away.  She was 93.  I loved her so much and I want to ensure that her spirit lives on every day.  It certainly does in my world.
